Migration scope and safe completion
With active hosting the self-service tool supports one website, its database and one mailbox per migration. Suitability depends on your old service access and application.
Before switching DNS, check files, the database, sign-in, forms and email in the preview environment. Keep an independent backup and retain the old hosting until final checks pass.
Switch DNS with the actual DNS provider: read-only zones are not changed in the portal. After the switch, check SSL and mail delivery. A migration preview alone does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
